Hello everyone! I have survived the OMG it's Monday feeling. We are soon to head over to Wednesday finally! For the ones that know me as an individual, already are aware that I've worked with children my whole life! I'm believing this is just a profession I cannot seem to shake! LOL
Ok so I have worked with children my whole life. So, I have hands on experience when it comes to observing a child's behavior. Many out there would agree if I say the behavior starts from the parent. I used to be a firm believer in that notation. Now my views are slightly swayed to the left.
The thing is, yes the parents are the first gateway to interacting with another being. Most of the time this is where the personality, language, and communication tatics start. We also must realize there are many other things that can influence a child's behavior such as:
-The media
-Others in the neighborhood
-Family members other than the parents
Or the worst case of all... That's just who they are!
I was working with a student today. He normally misbehaves, but today was worse ten-fold. This makes me wonder is he learning this unruly behavior from his parents or did he see this from somewhere else? It's a hard thing to say that people are born bad. I don't fully believe that either. Although, there's room for me to be proven wrong.
I know there's really no moral of the story I can come up with in this situation except: Parents be careful what you say and do around your children, because they are always watching. Also, remember people like me along with others that work in education are with your child more than you are. So, that means we put up with them majority of the time. Just a little food for thought parents, aunts, uncles, grandmas, granpas, cousins, and friends of the family.
It takes a village to raise a child, so everyone has a hand in subconsciously molding a child's behavioral patterns.
Good night you guys!

I blog according to my mood. Some days I will free write, add poetry, or just talk about hair, and everyday life. Some of these subjects may be controversial, others may not. If you don't like it... Well it's My blog for a reason.

A little piece of Advice...
Happy Sunday you guys! I've not been feeling too hot lately. LOL so that's my reason for abandoning my blog for like a week. I apologize.
I just had a thought. Have you ever had that one person in your life, that makes you feel bad about yourself? I was always that one person you felt you needed to prove something to. In a small way they seem to have a spell over you, keeping you stagnant? I think everyone has a least one person in their lives that will keep you standing still in life. As in you will not progress fully in life unless they are out of the picture.
My suggestion for this... Cut them out of your lives. No one has enough time in their lives to fulfill their dreams, along with another's. Cut them loose because that person only makes you feel bad about yourself. It seems we as people choose to keep the worst ones around and cut off the others that are not so bad for you. Break that cycle.
However, there are many cases where you cannot completely cut them out because you may live together or live in the same area. Maybe even have the same circle of friends. So my advice for this situation is to pay them no mind. Whatever they may say or do, don't personalize it. That can very well be their own insecurities directed at you. Let that negativity roll off your back and keep it moving.
I'm living proof that it works. Once your way of thinking improves, so does the quality of your life. So change your way of thinking for the better. It may even benefit your health!
Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Quite the worker bee
I am exhausted! I swear I'm an 80- year old woman trapped in a young woman's body... I barely watch tv. I don't hang out much. All I do with my time is research and work, work and research! I'm definitely not complaining, because until I feel accomplished with the results in my life with the changes I am making. I won't have it any other way...
I feel this change happening within me and I'm loving what I see. Now enough of this positivity lol. Now time for the point... My body does not allow me to stay up too late anymore. That breaking if the daylight nights are officially done! Lol my body has been telling me the deal lately.
Last night I didn't go to bed until 2:30am... I paid for that today! Lol my body is now breaking into the early night routines and I'm so happy about. Another tip for your hair and body... Sleeping benefits! So start creating a routine so your body gets the sleep it needs. The amount of sleep you need will depend on your body.
On that note... Until next time folks!

Happy Saturday!!!
Hey you guys! I hope you are enjoying your saturday thus far. Today is day 4 of my food challenge and already I'm beginning to see the difference in how much the food I eat affects my mood. So day 2 of this challenge I went to Red Lobster. Yes, I know not the healthiest place of choice to eat from. I had cajun chicken alfredo, it made me feel so sluggish after I ate some of it. I ordered the full sized plate and i could barely eat half of if. The next day I added fresh broccoli and mushrooms to the dish and I felt good when I ate the Millah- version of that dish. It kdpt me full for the rest of the night. I didn't feel the need to eat anything else!
This challenge is definitely giving me an even better insight on what does and does not work for my body. Taking a step closer to truly know you.
Here's the sucky part about right now..... I have a cold! Why is it when I choose to eat more things that are good for my health, i get sick! :-( I'll be ok just not a fan of sore throats and blowing my nose so much that I get scabs around that area! Lol
Until next time folks!
Enjoy this weather, it's beautiful outside!

The Food Challenge! :-)
Happy tuesday people! I wanted to come on today and share my new grand idea!
We all have to take care of our bodies. What better way to care for your body than to monitor what you put it in? I'm just focusing on what I'm putting in my body for several reasons. Reason 1: I feel sluggish when I eat too much junk. Reason 2: eating too much of certain food such as bread will throw off the digestive system (aka give you constipation!). Reason 3: it will benefit your overall health.
So I'm going to try a little experiment with the what I eat throughout the day. I'm going to drink more water, eat more fruits and vegetables throughout the day during weeks 1 & 3. As for weeks 2 & 4. I'm going to eat less of the fruits, veggies and lessen my water intake. At the end of each week I'm going to keep record of how these changes may affect my mood, the way my skin looks and the way my digestive system flows.
So this challenge has started today for me and even though my day wasn't the best, I still feel pretty good. So you guys and gals once again I'm going to say Experiment! Who knows, maybe switching to healthier alternatives in your diet more than likely will benefit your hair! So that could be your inspiration.
