Thinking...

The things that we believe in our minds can influence the things that happen around us. When I say that I mean our outlook on life in general. Even if unfortunate things still happen in your life, you will handle it differently. You will handle it differently because the transformation that took place in your noggin.

Sometimes people can help to influence the things we do. There are many people in our lives that do either two things: They give or take from you. So many people out there that are only in your life for a day or more can offer you something that can benefit you. On the flip side they can offer you something that is no good for you. At the end of the day regardless of what others do around you, it all depends on how you react to it.

So this is my statement of the night: Whatever someone is going through, don't take it personally. When we personalize things, in my opinion by doing such a thing subconsciously places you in the victim category. If that's the case the man down the block didn't say Hi to you today because, you wore green! See how retarded that sounds! It just doesn't make sense! Whatever another is going through in life and decides to take it out on you today, doesn't always mean it's about you. Unless they directly say it.

Later you guys!

Hair and Working Out

When on the journey to growing your hair naturally or period, there is always a conflict when it comes to working out. Working out= sweat. Sweating= salt and toxins coming out of your skin.

As I have said before, the key to keeping your hair growth going is to keep the scalp clean. So when we sweat during a workout we end up putting dirt back onto our scalps. So the question is how should we fix this issue? Unless your hair likes being washed several days in the week in the winter time, we cannot all do that! Relaxed or straightened.

People that have naturally curly hair textures, kinky or coarse. Keep in mind that our hair is fragile, requires lots of moisture to the ends, oils, and may not be able to handle constant shampooing to the hair.

So maybe instead of working out 5 days a week doing cardio, you can alternate between which days you choose cardio, along with other things. I just discovered something pretty cool, this article on www.natural-homeremedies.org/buzz/natural-tips-to-reduce-sweating/ shows other ways to reduce sweating. Whatever we put in our bodies impacts our sweat glands and everything else. So we need to be mindful of that.

Tea tree oils are known for cleansing, so maybe using the essential oil tea tree may benefit your scalp after a work out. Google natural hair and working out, you may come across an article that is good for you.

Wow!

There is some very powerful, abundant amounts of positivity floating around... Can't you feel it? Regardless of what we are going through, we should always count our blessings.
Things can always be so much worse and I'm so grateful thatI can see the love and happiness in my life.

I am definitely evolving as a person, my perspective, and words are even forming differently each day. I felt terrible earlier and my night has turned around.

Remember people whatever you are going through in gour life, it can always be worse. Count your blessings. Know whenever you feel terrible, that feeling is only temporary. When your outlook on life begins to morph, so will your life.

Be blessed you guys!

Water is the key

Hello People. We are recommended to drink up to 8 cups of water a day. Its all for good reason. Our bodies need water to cleanse us. It can improve on the health or your skin and even your hair.

Yes people even your hair benefits from our uses for water whether internally or externally. This is more directed to the natural haired people. Water is key to our hair growth. If you only wash your hair every two weeks, you should consider to do it at least once a week. Part of healthy hair growth is to take care of your scalp. Keep your scalps clean by washing more often.

As for my relaxed haired people. Still find ways to keep the scalp clean. I understand water is not exactly your hair's friend lol. However, if you wash every two weeks and within that time you notice your scalp and hair is filthy, you sbould consider washing before then. If not all the time then when you notice it instead.

Remember keep those scalps clean!
Until next time folks

Just thinking...

Hey you guys... Not really in the greatest of moods tonight. I went to be kinda early tonight and as usual like clock work I woke back up. I just finished watching Love&Drugs. It was a good movie. You could definitely see the transformation with how they interacted sexually.

I feel like I'm stuck in one place right now... I've been feelong this way for a little while. It's not that I'm not motivated it's just... Idk lol. Ever since my world has turned topsy turvy things have and will never be the same. Things haven't been in the black or white category... I'm definitely in a major gray area. And the thing is for once, I'm not minding it too much. I can honestly say I'm beginning to do the things I want for myself... I'm mot feeling much obligation towards most things or anyone. Maybe I'm rambling a little bit, but I'm think I'm on to something...

Until next time folks!

The Natural Movement Only Accredited to Darker Skin Blacks???

The Natural Movement has become increasingly popular over the past few years... You've seen people drop the relaxers and hot curlers, to join the movement!
But who is this natural movement accredited to? Only darkskin blacks???
My answer to that: Hell No!!!!
This is a problem with when a movement of self empowerment is created, people try to only claim it for themselves.

This Natural Movement is for Everyone! Any race and any culture and lastly any hair texture. This movement should represent embracing yourself, in its rawest form. If embracing your hair texture is what natural means to you then do it. If going organic with your diet is what you consider the natural movement, wearing no nail polish, not shaving your legs...
Whatever you consider to be a part of this movement, is fine.

People tend to focus on differences in hair and appearance too much. But to say its only for Darkskin Women with kinky hair is wrong. This movement should be for anyone that wants to embrace, love and appreciate the qualities that makes You who You are.

Until next time folks!

3 steps forward, 4 steps back

This image of love that we thrive for...
Does it really exist?

People need to not back track to a relationship that was no good for them. This post has two people in need. If you felt you were being mistreated... Maybe you weren't wrong for feeling that way. We go into these situations on blinded faith.

I know people that fell victims to losing themselves in another person. They would compromise their schedules to make their partner happy. They attach themselves at the hip for so long, that they've cut out their social life to be with them.

When you break up, its time to get that piece of yourself back that you lost during the relationship. Do things that please you and make you happier. So time passes and they are doing so well. Socializing more, experiencing new things. Then claims of a "changed" person has them running back into the same situation, blindly wishing and hoping things will change. Because you were secretly hoping they will come back to your life and make you "whole" again.

I believe if the signs are pointing to failure... Don't do it. Especially if you're scars are still open. You need time to heal, so if you choose to date the same person or anyone else... You will go into the situation with a level headed and live more for yourself.

My advice to people currently in relationships: Have a social life outside of your partner... Believe me! I've been there... And now getting myself back and it feels good!

I just realized!

I never thought I would say this... Straight hair is too damned much! Before anyone jumps on me about saying this I'm going to break it down as to why I made this statement.

When I kept my hair in twists for days at a time I didnt do anything to it. Maybe every now and then I would spray water on it, then tie my hair down for bed. Then on saturday or sundays, I would do my weekly washes and conditioning, then do my twist or braids over...

Now that I have this damned straight weave... I have to comb and wrap it everynight... Right now I'm pin curling it, which is taking forever! When I put it up in a ponytail this crap doesn't even stay! And when I leave it out, it gets beyond frizzy!

Honestly, now I realize I'm in love with my kinky 4a/4b hair type! The only time it gets annoying or difficult to do my natural hair is when its time to detangle... But when you know how to do it properly, detangling is a breeze. Other than that I prefer my regular hair... Im counting down the days until I can touch my hair again...

All it takes is patience... I'm going to finish pincurling my hair now :'(
